Accreditation

NIS is accredited by the Ministry of Education, Kingdom of Bahrain. In addition N-12 is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools (MSA). The Elementary School is currently working towards PYP authorization status. The first school in Bahrain to offer this program, NIS was awarded PYP Candidate status in 2005.In Grade 7-10, work is underway towards application for candidate status for the MYP of the IBO. The High School Diploma is formally recognized by the Ministry of Education as equivalent to Bahrain’s Secondary Diploma. The school is a member of the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) and has been offering the IB Diploma program since 1997. Students choose to sit for the IB Diploma or certificates in addition to the High School Diploma. The school is a member of the following organizations: E/CIS NESA, ASCD, IBO,  MSA, ISS and CITA.
